Flora Europaea perennial, H mesic, calciphyle from the lower nemoral to boreal, specially on calcareous rocky substrata east Alpine - Carpathian-Balkan Seslerietalia, Quercetalia pubescentis, Querco-Fagetea R3401, R41, R42 (open woods on calcareous substratum)         A Senecio species which is very attached to shady humid places on rocky calcareous substratum.
